George Wythe High School will be hosting free physicals day on Thursday, May 14, 2026 beginning in the Auxiliary gym at 3:30pm. Parents should be informed that all sections of the VHSL form (excluding the doctor's portion) should be filled out before they arrive for their physical. This includes the Concussion form as well. All students should pick up a physical packet at the respective schools.

WCPS is excited to be offering the SWVA Can Code Camp this summer for rising 5-8 grade students. The camp is free and will be June 22-26 from 8:00-1:45. Sign Up today!

Attention: Rising 2nd - 8th Graders are invited to join the GWHS Summer Basketball Camp on on June 2nd-4th from 9-11:30. The cost is $60 at the door. Please use the QR Code to register if you are interested.

Cheer Tryouts for rising 6th and 7th graders will be May 18th and 19th from 5:30-7:00 and on May 20th right after school in the SMMS gym. Students must have a sports physical completed after May 1st and concussion form on file with the school to try out.

Rising 8th and 9th graders who wish to try out for cheerleading, the tryouts will be on May 13th-15th from 5:30-6:30 in the main gym at GWHS. Tryouts will be Saturday, May 16th at 9:00am in the main gym at GWHS. Students must have a physical and concussion form on file to tryout.
